Long Freeze TimesUpdated 2 months ago
Behavior
Under normal conditions, the Klaris Original should complete a freeze cycle in 8–12 hours. The recommended operating environment is 68–74°F. Freeze times can fluctuate throughout the year and take up to 14 hours depending on conditions.
Common Causes
- Ambient temperature above 74°F.
- Seasonal changes with temperature and humidity as well as central heating and cooling settings in a home.
- Insufficient airflow around the machine.
- Placement in direct sunlight, near drafts, or in fluctuating temperature areas.
Things to Try
- Move machine to a cooler environment and avoid direct sunlight.
- Ensure at least 8” of clearance on all sides of the machine.
- Use pre-cooled water from the fridge.
- Review the blog on Ambient Temperature and Freeze Times for more detail.
- If freeze times consistently exceed 12-14 hours after following these steps, contact customer support at [email protected].
